ARE THERE REALLY MORE MEDIUMS TODAY?
“There are so many mediums suddenly popping up out of the woodwork these days. Beware though, most of them have had five minutes of training and overnight, they’re experts.”
This is a common theme in some posts on our social media platforms. It’s a concern often raised by other mediums who appear worried that their craft is being diluted by ‘amateurs’ likely to bring a bad name to mediumship. But is this really something to worry about, and is there any evidence to support such claims?
Could it just be ‘the red car syndrome’? You buy a red car because there are fewer red cars on the roads these days. But then you start seeing hundreds of them and realise that your red car is not as rare as you thought it was!
What has happened is your mind is now consciously expecting to see red cars. They’ve always been there, you just weren’t looking for them!
In an article being published in “The Inspired Spirit” (release date 20th March) we take a closer look at this issue and suggest improbable solutions. Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss out!

Good evening. We are happy you’re here again with us for tonight. We wanted to talk to you about how you could start to understand our life a little easier.
One of the great challenges we all have is learning to understand the entire picture when only a little part of it is on display at any given time. We know that when you try to comprehend everything there is to know about our life, you become overwhelmed, because there is too much to comprehend.
Imagine you were taken into your house for the first time, but blindfolded. You would stumble around in that dark, hitting walls, tripping on steps, and walking into doors and furniture. After a while, you’d begin to believe the house is enormous and filled with mysteries and intriguing things. You’d want to understand it all.
But if your blindfold was removed, or the darkness was gone, you’d be able to see the same house, same rooms, doors, walls, and furniture without any issues. You might even start to believe the house was smaller than you thought. It’s this very sensation with understanding our house if you like.
The mystery is less so, when you see and live with it. It is only a mystery because you don’t see the full picture. We’re not super-humans with superpowers. We’re just ordinary people that now reside in a different sort of world.
By wanting to know everything at once and by constantly adding to the issue by thinking up new questions all the time, you are creating a mental world that appears to be impossible. Yet it’s not.
Our world exists where we have our ways of life, based on a different set of rules to yours on earth. It’s nothing more complicated than that really. Yes, we understand how what appear to be trivial questions constantly fill your mind, and few of them ever get answers, making the whole subject even more mysterious. Do we have pens and paper? Yes. Are there TV stations? Not as such, no. Can we feel each other? Absolutely. How does the thinking all work together? In other words, how do we know to meet? And if there is no clock for time, how do we all manage to meet together?
Like so many other questions, these are not easy to answer. They just do, they just are, they work and we’ve no time to sit around thinking about it. These questions you, and many of your friends are constantly pondering cannot be answered in short concise methods to make sense. Why don’t you explain to me how gravity works, or how come water feels wet? You can’t do it without long and tedious detailed explanations. That is the exact problem we have when it comes to explaining our world and how we live in it. It just is the way it is.
We can answer so many of your questions with yes and no answers because that is the easier short way to do it. For example, do we have a time measure? No. It’s entirely different from yours. But to explain it would take at least a large book full of words, and even then you wouldn’t understand it all.
You often throw the word trust around. And all too often, that word fails to offer any solutions. How about using the word ‘ACCEPT’ instead? To trust may be too big a leap for many people, but everyone can accept, without any issues.
That was the point we wanted to share with you this evening. Accept that there are two worlds. Actually, there are several, but accept two for now. Accept that we live in ours without problems and you live in yours without question.
Accept that the way your life is lived is entirely different to ours. Just accept these things and worry less about getting all the answers. You will understand it all one day. But in the meantime, accept we are two different living spectrums and get on with enjoying and embracing the occasions we are together.
Thank you for writing these words tonight. Rest well, my dear friend. Goodnight.

UPDATED AFTERTHOUGHTS
written on 4th March 2023 - 213 days after session was written
On several occasions since this session was written, the spirit speaker has suggested that we mediums take too much of our valuable connection time asking questions about the science of the spirit world. Every time this topic is raised, it appears that the spirit person does not want to get involved with the detail.
This is not just a problem I have found, but many other much better mediums too. The reluctance appears to be because the spirit world would have to explain a new set of natural laws that are so far away from our own, that it would be impossible for us to comprehend them.
I suspect it to be a little like a small goldfish in a garden pond trying to comprehend fish in other parts of the world living in big oceans of water and being able to fly for short bursts.
This speaker suggests that our approach to this situation would be better served if we were to just accept their life for what it is. This makes sense when you consider that in the scale of time, our life on this planet in this form of being is extremely short.

Dear Trevor, this was very interesting. You write that there are other mediums, better ones, who also don't understand the concepts. I found it interesting that you threw in this comparison. What makes another medium better than you? Trust? Acceptance? You are a great medium. Others are different. But I don't think that others are better than you. I just saw a very famous UK Medium on platform a few weeks ago and I was shocked to see that he had a new method, using platitudes and trying to cheer people up doing these 'difficult' times. You are staying the course, thank you.
