📌 WE DON’T KNOW WE KNOW . . .
Let’s remind ourselves of one of the most brilliant quotes of modern days. Yet when we heard it first, we thought it was political nonsense.
There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.
Donald Rumsfeld
I’d like to extend that phrase one more level. There are unknowns we don’t know we know. I became aware of this recently after several of these conversations with the spirit team. The one below contains another such example as you’ll read in the summary at the end.
I believe that mediums often have difficulties finding the words for the things they are aware of whilst in their connection with the spirit world. The job of translating everything into a sentence that make sense and is complete is often impossible and results in a dilution of the message.
My spirit team have explained many times how difficult it is for them to explain certain things to me, because of my limited vocabulary and the limitations of our simple language. Yet even though they have struggled to explain certain things to me, I’ve realised that I know what it is they are trying to explain.
The further challenge of these things we don’t know that we know comes in trying to explain them to others. Confused? Me too!

We weren’t sure what you wanted to do this evening. We thought you might want to talk to us. Ok, then let’s begin with an interesting topic.
When your spirit returns home here alone, that is, without its body that’s been part of it for so long, the spirit can feel like it is supercharged. Gone are the responsibilities it carried with it having the body to contend with.
The spirit is now having to adjust to the new way of living very quickly. Yet many of the sensations brought on from the body still remain for a while. You might call it ‘phantom feelings’. But these wear off fairly quickly and the spirit adjusts relatively easily. There are always other helpers on hand to help with the adjustments. For the first few days (these are different to your linear days), the spirit is keen to explore and to get to grips with all the new-found possibilities.
The routines of people over this side are very different to those on earth. But some spirit people do prefer to emulate some of those old habits, such as eating and drinking, even smoking.
Over time, the lack of value of these old habits takes over and the desires for them fade. Other things take over instead. There is a lot of exploration, of the potential, of the new surroundings, the new findings and all that is present.
The two lives are different in so many aspects. The new life in spirit is not even on a parallel with that of life on earth. As we’ve tried to explain in the past to you, trying to explain life here is like trying to teach a fish about life on land - for the most part, difficult.
But what I can say is that people on earth often fear the loss of being whole when earth death occurs. The physical touch, the mechanics of movement, the sensations of the environment and surroundings. But once the spirit is away from these faculties, they are rarely, if ever, missed. Life in spirit can be best described as radiant and all-present.
Our world is without boundaries, without limitations, wars, strife, famine and disease. Instead, life here is all encompassing and way beyond any one person’s expectations. I would like to talk more about this to you again soon.
The vagueness I detect you thinking of my words is not because I don’t appear to share the details you want to hear, but because I have not the words you would even remotely understand. My language to you is limited by your vocabulary. But the truth is our language is far greater than yours.
Imagine trying to explain life to a dog, for example, that only knows a few commands. It’s simply not possible. That is the dilemma that we face when talking with you. But we will try to expand your vocabulary over time.
I’ll leave you with that taster for now. Please understand, if you can take anything away from these words tonight, it is that the life in spirit is richer than you could even dream possible.
Do have a good sleep. We look forward to talking again soon. Bye bye.
ORIGINAL NOTES
📌 MY SUMMARY
In this session and other recent communications through this experiment, I’ve been told that the limitation of our language and the extent of mine in particular, leaves some deep questions difficult to answer. In this session, it was compared with trying to explain life on land to a fish! Between our own languages there are limitations in the available words. Inuit people, for example, really do have fifty words for various types of snow.
This issue was also summed up later in the words when the analogy of talking to a dog was given. It is our limitation of the language we know and understand that stops the spirit world explaining certain things in a way we can understand without leaving us with doubts. The spirit world has often referred to this as comparing our two-dimension language with their three-dimension language.
This took me a while to understand. Here’s my interpretation: When we communicate by speaking, we use our voice, while the listener uses their ears. In the spirit world, the voice is used by thought. With thought, we can expand the language beyond just words. Again, even trying to explain what that means doesn’t translate to you here. I will try and explain that at some other date.
I learn so much more from these spirit speakers when the topics they choose relate to me, my life, our lives and basics opposed to wiffle waffle philosophy that goes nowhere and is lost within its own words.
What’s your thoughts? Do you understand the issue of language limitations for communications? Leave your thoughts below for others to read.

I understand a lot of what you have written Trevor. They almost sound like the model of the Johari window boxes. I learned this in my counselling training and coincidentally my father told me to write that model down again last week in my journal of our conversations.
If you look that up it explains how we all function as humans on a conscious and subconscious levels.
I am sure it might help you to understand what spirit are trying to convey.
My father told me to refresh that model in my mind from 2012 course work.
So I know enough to listen and act on his instructions now.
I think you will find the model self explanatory.
However always happy to discuss things further with you or anyone else if necessary.
