📌 A FIRST IN MY INSPIRED WRITING
Since I started this experiment back in March of this year, I’ve had a self-emposed strict routine in my approach to the project. I have a mind like a dancing frog according one recent description passed to be by my spirit connect, so to counteract this, I’ve stuck with an exact routine each time I open my notebook for writing.
I have specific disciplines going on in my head in an effort to reduce my own input into the writing. Even the way I am positioned for the writing is always the same. Well it was until the 18th of June!
I was enjoying a holiday in Lanzarote. Relaxing, walking, eating, reading, oh and drinking! To most people, the latter is not a big deal. A couple of drinks in the evening, what could go wrong?
Apart from when on holiday, I rarely drink alcohol. As Andrej Djordevitch once shared with me when he was describing his inability to take his drink, ‘I go silly with only one or two drinks’. Yep, that’s me too. I go into a state of happiness and relaxation - I’m totally chilled.
For several of the nights on holiday I was unable to sit for writing. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t drunk, I was just not entirely in the right frame of mind to take the task of writing seriously. The spirit team had hinted to me that perhaps I should look at changing my routine and use some other time of day.
That is what I did on this Saturday afternoon - I had my meditation and then I sat with the trusty notepad and started writing.
[ME]I am sitting with my notebook, fully aware of my surroundings here in the Lanzarote villa. There is ambient chit-chat from the restaurant next door and the sun is lower in the sky with a fresh breeze blowing. I am about to start writing with a vague idea of a subject. I am expecting to be influenced by my inner spirit and the connection to the other world. I will start the writing as me talking and will allow the tense to alter naturally.
Moreso in my later years, I’ve come to recognise I have a strong creative self. I’ve come to understand that every human also has a creative side automatically when born. Creativity isn’t a special gift, it’s a quality we’re all born with. It is like a seed within all of us. How that seed is propagated within us determines how strong it grows and at what rate. Even the person that would claim to have no creativity really does have, but in refuting it is really only showing their lack of understanding of creativity and its power.
Why it would appear that some people have more creativity than others is easy to answer. As I mentioned, it is down to the propagation of that original seed. When we are born of this life in a body we spend the first few years learning from our parents, those around us and the environment. These influences shape our beginning , though no habits or ways are yet set in concrete.
Our parents discipline us in the way they want us to be. They teach us basics that set the outline. If they are more creative than others, they will likely understand and encourage this new creativity in us and that seed with get a good start.
Other parents may be less creative and will therefore not know how to encourage our new creativity.
As we grow and acquire more of our own persona, our creative abilities may change, shaped largely by our circumstances, our career choice, those we associate with and those we acquire a strong respect and trust for.
The biggest enemy of creativity is fear, and fear comes in various scales from absolute subtle to an ongoing terror. Fear is an emotional state, as is creativity, but the two are polar opposites.
Why would someone who cannot play a piano, for example, state they can’t play or could never learn? They fear their own abilities, their own potential. They may even fear failing.
Failure comes from fear, the emotional state that is mostly destructive to us in our personal growth. Everyone can play a piano. Just press a note on the keyboard and you’ve played it. Ok, it’s not a work of art, but you have played the piano. The same can be said with any creative form. Painting, drawing, writing, singing, acting, design, sewing and so on. We can all do these creative arts, but we choose not to for reasons only we know, usually with a fear base somewhere.
[CONNECT] My friend, you write well. You have taken my inspirition to word my truth for all to read. You are correct that creativity is the one great quality that we, as people spirits have inside us.
Your creativity was something we were aware of within you from long before you realised it yourself. We knew that with this level of creativity in you, we could work freer and easier. You also have an heightened imagination which has come from your early creative years as an earth child. This imagination comes from your open mind. You’ve never accepted that things could not be, even when you doubted your own self. Doubt and fear are charactoristics of your own personality. But as you know and understand more than many, they too can be shaped with creativity and an open mind.
May I just use you to write some words for your readers. The essential fuel for your journey ahead is not oxygen or food and water - they will always be there naturally. Your creativity is the fuel that will drive you forward in your pursuits. Each of you can talk to us and we can talk back as easily as if we were there with you in person. It is your creativity that will allow it. But realisse too that your doubts are fears and they will be destructive in the process. Work with an open mind and a complete knowing that you are creating something special and it will be so.
Every greatness ever created started with a thought. A thought that started in the mind of a human. That thought was made a reality as soon as it was made.
Each of you are far more capable that you allow yourself to be. It is you and you alone that is blocking your progress, your creativity and your ability to develop a deeper relationship with your own spirit, the inner your and all of us that reside in that inner world alongside you.
Self belief is your enemy and nothing to do with your true abilities. Thank you for letting me use this channel today. He speaks good words. But it is us and his inner self that allow them to come into being.
Nurture your seeds of creativity. Encourage yourself more. Stop with the ‘I can’ts’ and start using the ‘I ams’ a lot more. Each of you are unique and special in God’s world.
🚩 MY SUMMARY
I’ve always treated this project as an experiment and therefore occasionally move the boundaries and change the routine. This was one such occasion where, due to my location and circumstances, I wanted to write at a different time of day. I felt that I wouldn’t be able to get into the normal frame of mind and therefore tried a different approach to commencing the session.
By starting the writing as me, I was able to settle down and allow the distractions around me to fade into the background. The subject was inspired by the spirit world, I became aware of that in the minutes of sitting quietly before beginnning.
The transition to the spirit person taking over was extremely natural for me. Once the switch took place, the words flowed with ease.
I love the way that the team always appear to highlight ‘features’ of our personality that we wouldn’t normally consider, in this case, our creativity. I find this very helpful for helping to understand how we are made up and what makes us different.
Would you consider yourself as creative and if not, why not.
