Words From Inspired Writing 14

Do you have any ideas how short your life on earth really is? Your time is very short, even though you think you have years ahead of you, you’ve not really grasped that these years will pass very quickly. Using your time now, while you have it is crucial.
All earthbound humans are the same though, it’s not just you. You all have this belief that your lives are infinite. When we first arrive over here, we go through a stage of sadness when we realise there is so much we should have done when we had the chance.
Fulfilling your life on earth is important. Many people who thought they led a busy life on earth still wish they’d done more when they get to this side. It’s the biggest regret we all have when we get here. Adjusting to life over here is quite a task . . .
Adjusting to life over here is quite a task. We talked about the importance of living in the moment more often, but that should not be a reason for procrastination. Yes, most of the pleasures we enjoyed on earth can be enjoyed over here too. But our way of life is so different that sometimes, those simple pleasures are just not the same over here.
You’re very much influenced by time where you are. A simple walk, for example, on earth is always limited or controlled by time. Your sleeping, meals, work, hobbies, holidays and so much of your life is ruled by time.
This side, however, we don’t have to worry about it. It’s not important. So when you take out the time aspect from most of your tasks, the doing of it therefore changes.
Many of the earthly aspects, pleasures, tasks, whatever you want to call them, are simulated over here. For example, like you, when I was on earth, I too liked an afternoon nap for an hour. I liked the way it refreshed me. Over here, I have no reason to have a nap - we don’t suffer from being tired. But I still like to simulate the nap, even though it means nothing! There are a lot of other pleasures that we have to simulate while we’re here.
Life is good here - but there are adjustments to be made. Here’s another example: When you enjoy a bacon sandwich, there is more to that than just the taste. . .
When you enjoy a bacon sandwich, there is more to that than just the taste. There’s the feel of picking it up, of the bacon smells, the textures etc. Here too, we can simulate having a bacon sandwich, but because this world is one of thought, if we fail to imagine that bacon smell, it won’t exist. The experience is diluted.
It takes some effort to make a good bacon sandwich experience over here. I know that’s hardly an important thing to share with you, I do hope it gives you a little understanding of how our lives this side vary from yours.
📌 MY AFTER THOUGHTS
When I transcribed this back for this newsletter, I had no recollection of ever writing about the humble, but irresistible, bacon sandwich! My mind is normally not far from food at the best of times, but during an altered state of being while writing words inspired from the other side!
You have to admit, that’s not a question ever addressed by the great ‘Silver Birch’. Perhaps I’m breaking new ground here!
I’m happy to just keep the flow of words going at this stage of my experiment. How much or how little of it is really coming from my odd imagination is difficult to engage. On reading the notes back though, I’m not convinced the Spirit world told me anything here that I could not have simply imagined. That’s another small issue with this work - working with Spirit we do need to have active imaginations. Within that quality is the dilemma of deciding what is my imagination and what is inspired.
I do recall that during this writing session, I felt that I should be using sex as an example of a pleasure and when the words started leading to that subject, I paused, rephrased the words and used ‘etc’ to pass over it. It’s one of those mysteries that I prefer to leave to my own imagination (and hope it transpires as good as that over there!).
Finally, below is a screenshot of the doodle drawing I do after the writing session is complete. I open a blank page in my ‘Spirit Drawing’ notebook, turn the device screen light off (so I’m in the dark) and just let the stylus wander over the page. Hardly a Van Gough, but suggesting to the spirit world that they can use this method as well.
If you’ve read this far, you’re one of only 51% of the subscribers that read this newsletter. 39% delete them immediately and who knows what happens to that remaining few! None the less, thank you for sharing this intimate and exciting journey into the altered states with me.
Because the distance between when the notes are written and when you read them here is increasing, I’ve thought of a way I can keep up and allow you to be nearer to up to date. I’ve not worked out the tiny details yet, but will share my idea in the next edition. Thank you for being part of this.
